Adam Barrett is relishing a touch-line battle with his Southend United team-mate Alan McCormack on Wednesday night.
Barrett and Millwall striker Neil Harris will be managing a heroes team which will be facing a legends side bossed by McCormack and Paul Clark to raise money for the Help the Heroes charity.
Barrett is therefore expecting a fun and interesting evening at Great Wakering Rovers' Burroughs Park ground.
And he hopes plenty of money can be raised for a fantastic cause.
"I have tremendous admiration for what these people do and it's great to be able to raise some money for them," said Blues captain Barrett.
"They put their lives on the line and we shouldn't forget that.
"It will also be great fun and I'm not too sure what kind of manager Macca will be, but I'd expect plenty of moaning.
"He's managing the gaffer (Steve Tilson) and Paul Brush and I don't think they will be looking forward to that."
Other star names in action include Peter Taylor, Julian Dicks, Justin Edinburgh and David Crown.
Kick off is 7.45pm and with tickets costing just £5 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and over 11s.
Those under 11 can get in for free.
