Steve Tilson was delighted to return to winning ways at Stockport and was also full of praise for the performance of Francis Laurent.
The Blues chief saw Laurent impress down the right wing, as two goals from Lee Barnard helped the team towards the three points and into 11th in the League One standings.
"We limited Stockport to few chances and had some good opportunities ourselves," Steve told Blues Player.
"We had a good opportunity when they went down to 10 men and we were able to open them up when we needed to.
"We had a chat with Francis Laurent recently and he said that he prefers to play as a winger.
"At times he may play up front, but for the moment we will be looking at him as a winger.
"He gave Stockport's left back all sorts of problems and was exciting to watch.
"To get a point away from home is always a good result, but to get three points is a bonus.
"The linesman has given the decision for the penalty and once he has done that, because he was the last man, he has to be sent off.
"Barney did his best to miss when he hit the bar, but he has gone on to score his second goal from the rebound and make sure of the three points.
"I'm really pleased, as we have scored two goals, kept a cleansheet and got three points."
