Striker Roy O'Donovan feels at home already at Southend United despite only arriving at the Club late last week.
The Sunderland loanee signalled his intentions with a debut goal against Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend.
And after enduring a frustrating few seasons in English football the former Cork City forward hopes to keep on scoring for the Blues.
"It was nice to get that kind of chance in front of goal and hopefully I can get a few more while I'm here," Roy told Blues Player after the match.
"I have only been here since last Thursday but everyone has been tremendous to me from the tea lady to the manager and it's been great because things had been a bit frustrating for me.
"A few things fell through and then the transfer window shut so I wasn't sure what was going to happen.
"But this move is perfect for me and perfect for Southend too so I'm delighted to be here and hope to help the club get more good results."
O'Donovan has failed to score in 19 appearances for Sunderland and did not net while on loan at Blackpool last season where he played 12 times.
His close range finish at the Withdean Stadium was therefore his first goal in the English game.
And he is now looking to kick on and form a successful partnership with Blues' top goalscorer Lee Barnard, who has netted eight times already this term.
"I thought he was fantastic," said O'Donovan on his fellow forward.
"He worked hard and was great to play alongside. I'm looking to show I'm still a decent player and it's great for my confidence to have scored.
"It's another big game on Saturday now against Oldham and it would be brilliant to get another three points."
