Defender Osei Sankofa is relieved to finally be over his injury problems that hampered his pre-season preparations.
The former Charlton right-back suffered with an Achilles problem and missed almost all of the Blues practise matches.
But after scoring in Tuesday's 2-2 reserve draw with Northampton Town, Sankofa is glad to finally be over it.
"It's been a frustrating time for me," said Sankofa.
"I came back feeling really fit but then picked up the injury- probably by doing too much too soon.
"I had to rest for a couple of weeks but I'm feeling fine again now and felt good in the reserves.
"I know I will have to be patient in waiting for an opportunity in the first team but I need to be ready for one when does come my way."
Sankofa joined striker Dougie Freedman on the scoresheet as a late equaliser from Town's Michael Jacobs rescued a point for the visitors at a rain drenched Roots Hall.
"I'm not even sure when I last got a goal to be honest with you," joked Sankofa.
"It was probably during training but I did used to pop up with a goal every now and then in the reserves so it was nice to put one away again."
