CHRISTOPHE AVAILABLE AFTER BAN

Posted on: Fri 11 Sep 2009

Southend United have midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe available for tonight's match with Leeds United.

The Frenchman was suspended for last weeks 3-0 victory against Leyton Orient after being sent off against Swindon Town.

Winger Damian Scannell deputised in his absence but with the ex-Portsmouth man now available, boss Steve Tilson must decide between the two.

Meanwhile, substitute goalkeeper Ian Joyce is available again to take his place on the bench after a hip injury.

The American shot-stopper missed last weeks match against Orient with the problem but he returned midweek for Southend's reserve side.

Tickets are still available for tonight's clash with the League One leaders with a gate of over 10,000 expected at Roots Hall.

Fans are advised to purchase their ticket before arriving at Roots Hall this evening and can do so by calling the Blues Box Office on 08444 77 00 77.
