Southend United make three changes to the line-up for tonight's League One clash at home to Leyton Orient.

Johnny Herd will make his first start of the season, as he comes in at left back for the local derby.

Francis Laurent has returned from injury and will partner Lee Barnard in attack and Damian Scannell replaces the suspended Jean-Francois Christophe in midfield.
