Steve Tilson had nothing but praise for his team and felt that Southend United deserved more at Wycombe Wanderers following a 1-1 draw.
The Blues secured their third straight draw in League One, but Tilson believes the team are going in the right direction and will soon turn draws into wins if they continue to play the same way.
"I felt we deserved more tonight," Steve told Blues Player.
"I thought we were excellent and individually, I thought we were better than them.
"We had the chances, but it just didn't fall for us in front of goal to win the game.
"We looked lively in attack and it's a shame we couldn't get the win away from home.
"Dougie felt he was tripped in the box in the second half, which would have been a penalty, but if we keep playing like that, we will win more games than we would lose.
"It was disappointing to concede a goal from a set piece, but we scored at the right time with one of our own.
"The short corner worked and Jean-Francois has scored an excellent header.
"If I'm honest, we could have been in the top four by now, but we are still unbeaten and we are certainly going in the right direction.
"It is early days in the season, but we are gelling as a team and getting better."
