Steve Tilson admitted that Southend United threw away the chance to take home the three points at Walsall.
Tilson was left to rue conceding a penalty in the last minute of the match against 10 men, but also knows that the Blues were not at their best.
"I'm disappointed we haven't taken the three points," Steve told Blues Player.
"We didn't play well today, but when you are winning 2-1 so late in the game, you have to kill it off.
"Unfortunately, it wasn't to be today, but it is frustrating because they only had three shots on target and twice Mildy has had to pick the ball out the net.
"We switched off at the back for their first goal and it was a poor penalty to concede.
"It was a naïve challenge from Lee and he will be disappointed.
"It was a gift for Barney for score our first goal, but it was a good finish and then Dougie has come off the bench and scored a reaction header.
"But we threw it away in the end.
"We could have had six points from our first two league games, but instead we only have two.
"Of course, we have to take the positives away, because we are still unbeaten and now we have to be ready to play Wycombe away on Tuesday night."
