Southend United have included new signings Matt Heath and John White in their starting XI to face Huddersfield Town.
Both loan players will start in defence alongside Simon Francis and Adam Barrett, who has recovered from a knee injury, for the League One encounter.
Anthony Grant will start on the right-hand side of midfield, with Jean-Francois Christophe partnering Alan McCormack in the centre of the park.
Up front, Lee Barnard starts alongside Francis Laurent against a Huddersfield side who include former Blues players Peter Clarke and Theo Robinson in their line-up.
