Harry Worley and Brian Saah both face their final chance to earn permanent contracts with Southend United tonight.
The centre-backs are currently on trial with the Blues and played on Saturday at Dagenham and Redbridge.
And the pair will be looking to impress in this evening's friendly at Barnet (7.45pm).
"You can only play trialists in two games so this will be the last chance we get to look at them in a game," confirmed boss Steve Tilson.
"We will see how they do again tonight and then go from there."
Worley, who is six foot three inches tall, began his career at Stockport County before being snapped up by Chelsea for £150,000 when he was just 16.
He was signed by Leicester City in March 2008 and has spent time on loan with Doncaster Rovers, Carlisle United and Luton Town.
The 20-year-old will be partnered at Underhill by Saah who was made 110 appearances while with Leyton Orient and Tilson is expecting a tricky evening against the Bees.
"It will be another good, competitive game which is what we need," said Tilson.
"It's all about getting sharp and fit for the start of the season and matches like this and the one at Stevenage on Friday will be a massive help."
Tilson will again also be looking at Francis Laurent on the right flank against Barnet.
The Frenchman featured mainly as a striker following his arrival at Roots Hall last August.
But he is now looking to shine in a wider role.
"I had a chat with Francis and he thinks he can do well out there for us," said Tilson.
"We've had a look at him there during pre-season and it's certainly another option for us out there."
Blues will again be without Adam Barrett (knee), while Damian Scannell (ankle) is also sidelined.
Right-back Osei Sankofa has started jogging again after his Achilles injury but will not be risked.
And nor will Dougie Freedman or Kevin Betsy who both have ankle problems.
"They are back in training which is good news but I don't think we will risk them in a game just yet," confirmed Tilson.
Tilson is also yet to make up his mind on whether or not to make a move for Dutch striker Maceo Rigters.
The Blackburn Rovers forward played on trial for Blues against both Ipswich Town and Dagenham and Redbridge.
