Southend United continued their pre-season winning streak, with a comfortable 4-0 victory at Canvey Island.
Goals from Frank Moussa, Dougie Freedman, Craig Calver and Francis Laurent did the job for the Blues against their Ryman Premier opponents.
After an uneventful start to the match, Moussa opened the scoring with the first sight of goal.
The Belgian midfielder collected a pass from Freedman and raced down the left wing before drilling the ball past goalkeeper James Russell at his near post.
Freedman should have doubled Southend's lead when he collected a crossfield pass from trialist Camano, but faced with just Russell to beat, he turned the ball wide of the right-hand post.
The Blues continued to increase the pressure, with Alex Revell next in line for a sight of goal, as the striker crashed an effort into the side netting.
Freedman missed another great chance to add his name to the scoresheet, when he somehow blazed wide from a Simon Francis cross in front of a gaping goal.
But Freedman wasn't to be outdone and on the stroke of half time he found his range, when spotting Russell off his line, he lobbed the goalkeeper from 20 yards out.
Southend made eight changes at the break, with Lee Sawyer entering the fray on the same day he agreed a six-month loan deal from Chelsea.
And it was Sawyer who came close to increasing the Blues' lead when his 25 yard free kick was palmed away by Russell.
Calver added a third goal of the night in the 61st minute when he impressively volleyed the ball into the back of the net from outside the box.
Francis Laurent completed the scoring 10 minutes from time when Sawyer's threaded pass left him with just the goalkeeper to beat and he made no mistake by shooting down the middle of the goal.
Laurent did nearly get in on the act again, only to see his shot cleared off the line, with the Blues next in action at Chelmsford City this Saturday.
