REVELL: IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK

Posted on: Mon 13 Jul 2009

Striker Alex Revell made his comeback from injury at the weekend with a goal at Witham Town.

Revell had been sidelined for almost six months since suffering a broken ankle at Leyton Orient in January.

The Blues striker netted his side's final goal in a 5-2 triumph at the Spicer McColl Stadium on Saturday.

And the 26-year-old could not hide his delight at hitting the back of the net.

"It's just fantastic to be out there with the rest of the lads again and to score a goal was just amazing as well," said Revell, who also started his side's 4-0 win at Great Wakering Rovers on Friday night.

"Missing the final four months of last season was pretty tough, so playing again means everything and I'm enjoying every second.

"I'm still feeling a little bit stiff after being out for so long, but that's to be expected.

"I've had two run-outs for 45 minutes now and the plan is to slowly build that up in the next few games, just like it is for everyone else."
