Ricky Duncan will stay in charge of Southend United's reserve side next season boss Steve Tilson has confirmed.

The 43-year-old, who is the Blues head of youth, took control of United's second string towards the end of last season when Colin West opted to join Hartlepool United.

But Blues chief Tilson has confirmed that the current arrangement will be staying in place next season.

"Ricky took control of the reserves towards the end of last season and he will be doing it again next year," said Tilson.

"We know what he's all about. Ricky has done a great job with the youth team and this enables him to carry on working with our younger players at a different level."
