Southend United will be without goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall for tomorrow's match against Hereford United.

Mildenhall limped off at half-time against Brighton and Hove Albion with a knee injury on Tuesday evening.

And although the problem is not severe it is likely to keep Blues number one out for at least a week.

That means that Ian Joyce will start only his second match in the Football League having also replaced Mildenhall on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, midfielder Alan McCormack has shrugged off a groin problem and is available for the match against the relegation threatened Bulls.

Strikers Dougie Freedman (thigh) and James Walker (hamstring) continue to be unavailable.
