Following today's article in the Southend Echo - "Hotel rooms will turn into matchday suites" Southend United would like to set the record straight.

The basis of the article was lifted from Chairman Ron Martin's weekly blog to supporters.

In the original communication Mr. Martin closed by confirming that he hoped the new stadium would be completed in time for the 2011 season.

However, in lifting the content from the blog the Echo somehow managed to alter this to the 2012 season.

It was felt that it was important to reiterate this date to supporters so as to avoid confusion.
