Southend United have today extended the loan of striker Paul Furlong at Barnet until the end of the season.

Furlong, 40, has been on loan at League Two club Barnet for the past month where he has scored two goals in five league starts for the Bees.

United signed Furlong in the summer on a free transfer but the veteran striker has only made one start and two substitute appearances for Southend during that time.

However, Blues have agreed to extend Furlong's deal to keep him at Underhill until the end of the season.
