Southend United will welcome back midfielder Alan McCormack for Saturday's trip to Stockport County.

McCormack missed Southend's midweek Cup defeat against Chelsea after serving a one match suspension.

But the Irish midfielder is available against and in contention for this weekend's match.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Junior Stanislas plays the last match of his six week loan spell from West Ham.

Blues do not yet know if the talented winger will remain at Roots Hall any longer with boss Steve Tilson confirming: "We are focusing on this match at the moment.

"Once that is out of the way we will talk to him and see what happens."

United will be without French striker Francis Laurent for a further two to three weeks through injury.

Laurent fractured his ankle in training 10 days ago.
