Rob Milsom wants to secure his first Southend United victory this Saturday.
The midfielder, who is currently on loan from Fulham, has yet to triumph in his first three appearances for the club.
But he wants that to change this weekend when Huddersfield Town visit Roots Hall.
"I'm enjoying it at Southend, apart from obviously the results so far," said Milsom, 21.
"We haven't won yet since I've been here which is disappointing but hopefully that can change on Saturday.
"It's not going to be easy because Huddersfield are a good side too but we're fired up to get the points."
Milsom started his short spell with the Blues with a 2-1 defeat against Oldham Athletic before drawing 0-0 at Cheltenham Town.
Last weekend he was unable to stop his side losing 3-0 at league leaders Leicester City.
But Milsom is remaining upbeat.
"I thought we did well in patches at Leicester to be honest," he said.
"They had Matt Fryatt up front who was obviously quite lively along with Steve Howard and, as the manager said, that proved to be the difference."
Milsom moved into the centre of the park against the Foxes, having previously figured on the left flank.
The switch suited the youngster but he does not mind where he is selected.
"I have played most of my matches in the middle during my career but I don't mind being out wide either," he confirmed.
"I'm just happy to be playing first team football here and it's excellent for my development."
Milsom, who was on loan at Brentford last season, has been with Fulham since he was 12 but he is relishing another spell away from Craven Cottage.
And he has been impressed by the standard of League One.
"It's good and we have some excellent players we look to get the ball down and play," said Milsom.
"It's nice to be playing in front of crowds and it's good to be playing in more competitive games."
Milsom is unsure of how long he will continue to taste first-team football with the Blues.
But when he does return to Fulham he hopes to be able to figure more in the plans of their manager Roy Hodgson.
"Long term my aim is to try and make it there," confirmed Milsom.
"Being with Southend will improve my chances and make me a better player. But for now I'm focused on playing here and hopefully getting a win."
