HARVEY ENJOYING SPANISH ADVENTURE
Defender Dan Harvey, currently on a year long loan spell with Spanish outfit CD Jávea, is enjoying life on the Costa Blanca.
The youngster moved to the Blues link club in Spain as part of a co-operation agreement between the two sides.
That has seen fellow United player James Lindie complete a five month loan move last week also.
And Harvey is adapting to the Spanish style of football as he prepares to kick-off his new season next week.
"This has been a big step in my career," said Harvey who will remain with Kenny Brown's side until the end of the season.
"People say football is football, but until you come over here you realise there is a whole new world of it.
"The different style of play out here looks exciting, and I feel I have already made good progress whilst being here.
"I am still only 18-years-old, and hopefully I will only get better with the coaching I am getting."
CD Jávea kick-off their new season on September 7 against Llosa following the conclusion of their pre-season preparations.
And Harvey believes the play-offs are a real possibility for the Regional Preferente Grupo III outfit that also include former youth team captain Tom Hopkins in their ranks.
"I want to help CD Jávea finish as far up the table as possible, I honestly believe we can make the play-offs," Dan admitted.
"But ultimately I want to return to Southend as I feel I have a lot to offer the club, but while here I am committed to repaying CD Jávea for the faith they have shown in me."
southendunited.co.uk will be tracking Dan and James' progress over the coming months with CD Jávea.
