DON'T MISS ANYTHING

Posted on: Fri 08 Aug 2008

There has been so much going on at Roots Hall over the past few days that it would have been easy to have missed something.

With new faces arriving and the new season under 24-hours away, southendunited.co.uk - your official website - has been covering all the news as it breaks.

But just in case you missed something, we've got a little round-up of the past weeks events.

The week started when on Monday we announced a link-up with Spanish side CD Javea that saw the two sides sign a co-operation agreement.

However, it wasn't until Thursday when all the real big news broke at Roots Hall.

Firstly Anthony Grant signed on a free transfer, before Blues revealed that we had turned down a bid for Nicky Bailey from Charlton Athletic.

As that story broke Chairman Ron Martin offered his thoughts on the summer and the new season in an exclusive article on southendunited.co.uk.

In it Ron gave a teaser away that Kevin Betsy was due to sign that evening from Bristol City for a nominal fee and Blues World was the first to get his reaction.

In it the winger spoke about his experience in having twice gained promotion from League One whilst Friday morning saw the arrival of another new face, Dan Harding.

Harding joined on a loan deal from Ipswich Town and as always gave his first interview with Blues World. In that exclusive chat Harding spoke of his desire to play football - at any level.

With all these signings it would have been easy to forget about Saturday's big game against Peterborough United whilst boss Steve Tilson revealed his target for the coming campaign.

Back over on Blues World a whole host of the current Southend players were going in front of the TV cameras with Lee Barnard, Steve Mildenhall and Adam Barrett speaking of the new season.

With tomorrow's new Coca-Cola League One season hours away, you can count on southendunited.co.uk being there every step-of-the-way.

We will be back on Saturday with unrivalled reports, reaction and action. Don't miss it!
