Around 2,500 fans showed up for the clubs annual open day at our Boots and Laces training ground.
The new 2008/09 away shirt was exclusively released to those fans who turned up early on in the day.
United's famous Blue Belles were on hand to model the new strip as they paraded it around the main arena.
Meanwhile, boss Steve Tilson put his players through their paces in a training session for an hour before the squad were on hand to sign autographs.
Players were mobbed as queues stretched back with fans eager to meet the new and old faces at Roots Hall this coming season.
Meanwhile, back on the main stage a Southend United Legends side faced local Sunday side ShrimperZone FC in an eagerly awaited show down.
Steve Tilson, Paul Brush, David Crown and Bill Garner were only a few of the names to represent the legends team; who eventually went on to win 6-3 despite a valiant comeback by the Zoners.
Whilst the beer and burgers continued to flow children enjoyed the bouncy castles and side stalls whilst Mark Bonner from the Centre of Excellence showed off some of the emerging talent of the future.
