SALES BREAK 2,000 BARRIER

Posted on: Thu 15 May 2008

At least 2,000 supporters will be making the trip to Doncaster on Friday night following the first day of general sales.

Another 500 tickets were sold on Wednesday for tomorrow night's second leg play-off semi-final at the Keepmoat Stadium.

And Chairman Ron Martin admitted that he was excited about Friday's match.

"I'm excited," said Mr Martin. "For the fans, staff and players.

"When I decided to put the coaches on for free I didn't envisage the response being as good as this.

"It's been an expensive season but the fans support has been tremendous throughout and this is my way of saying thank you.

"If we could get 2,500 up to Doncaster then that would be tremendous, our twelfth man if you like."

Blues supporters can still purchase tickets for the game at Doncaster from the Blues Box Office in person or by calling 08444 77 00 77.

Fans have until midday on Friday to purchase their tickets, with supporters being reminded that the game is all ticket for away fans.
