Southend will play a mixture of experience and youth in tonight's Essex Senior Cup clash against Bowers & Pitsea.

The third round match is a 7:45pm kick-off at Roots Hall against opponents from the Essex Senior League.

Bowers beat FC Clacton 1-0 in the last round while the Blues were handed an instant bye.

A number of under-18 players will be included in the 16-man squad with Nathan McDonald expected to start between the sticks.

Elsewhere, more established members such as Zoltan Liptak, Kerrea Gilbert, Peggy Lokando and Charles Ademeno will all figure.

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children with only the east green and black section of the stadium open.
