FIVE CHANGES AT BRIGHTON

Posted on: Sat 01 Sep 2007

Southend make five changes for today's match at Brighton & Hove Albion, as they revert back to the same team that started their last League One fixture against Millwall.

Matt Harrold and Charlie MacDonald will continue their partnership in attack, having both scored during the 2-0 win over Watford on Tuesday night.

Kerrea Gilbert, Peter Clarke and Che Wilson all return in defence in place of Simon Francis, Garry Richards and Lewis Hunt respectively, with the Blues looking for their third straight win.

Kevin Maher is back to captain the side while Mark Gower has recovered from illness to take his place on the left flank.

New signing Eric Odhiambo, who signed on a one-month loan deal from Leicester City, will start on the bench.

Southend: Flahavan, Gilbert, Clarke, Barrett, Wilson, Bailey, Maher, McCormack, Gower, MacDonald, Harrold.
