Meet the Blues Day 2007 was a raging success today at the Club's Boots and Laces training ground.
Over 3,500 supporters turned up over the day, as the summer sun finally arrived in South East Essex.
Fans were treated to a training session from United boss Steve Tilson and his squad of players in the main arena.
And United's new away shirt appears to be a hit with the fans with hundreds of supporters queuing up to get their hands on the latest strip.
With plenty of side stalls for the fans to wander around, there was even the chance to buy tickets for the Blues two pre-season friendlies against West Ham and Vitesse Arnhem.
But by far the most popular event of the afternoon was the chance to meet the United players, collect autographs and pose for photos with your favourite Roots Hall stars.
Southend defender Adam Barrett told southendunited.co.uk: "It never fails to surprise me how many fans turn out for these days.
"It helps give you a real sense of excitement now for the season ahead because all of the supporters seem to be buzzing.
"Hopefully we can do their enthusiasm justice!"
