Southend United manager Steve Tilson has rubbished reports this weekend that striker Freddy Eastwood is set to exit Roots Hall.
Speculation has continued to mount about where the 23-year-olds future lies, after Wolverhampton Wanderers had an offer rejected for the forward earlier this month.
Rumours in Sunday's national newspapers have suggested that the Midlands club are set to land Eastwood for £1.5 million this week, reports that Tilson has been quick to quash.
"It's all hollow speculation at the moment," confirmed the Blues boss to southendunited.co.uk.
"Wolves have so far only made one low offer and that was immediately rejected.
"The Chairman doesn't want to sell Freddy and an offer of £1.5 million is well below the market value of such a proven goalscorer.
"For the time being he is a Southend player and that is fine with all of us."
Eastwood moved to United three years ago following a successful loan spell from Conference club Grays Athletic.
The Basildon based hotshot has hit 65 goals for Southend since joining for an undisclosed fee in 2004.
