POSITIVITY SHINES THROUGH

Posted on: Tue 05 Jun 2007

Relegation in most cases would bring with it an air of despondency; but that hasn't been the case at Roots Hall this summer.

Instead there is a real sense of positivity throughout the Football Club as Southend plan their assault on League One next season.

The Blues loyal supporters have continued to back Steve Tilson's side, with Season Card sales currently on a par with last term.

United had an average gate of over 10,000 for the first time in 35 years last season, whilst over 250,000 fans came through the Roots Hall turnstiles.

And it is that sort of support that is seeing the Blues flourish again this summer off the field.

"The Club has come so far in recent years and we have proved that nothing is impossible," said Commercial Manager Brian Wheeler.

"We want to make sure that the fans are part of the Blues future and with your continued support anything is achievable.

"There were many highlights from last season; we showed on occasions that we could mix it with the best of them.

"It has never been a better time to be involved with Southend United and there are many more reasons to join the growth of the biggest football club in Essex."

Perhaps the most exciting news of last season was the approval of United's new stadium at Fossetts Farm.

Blues supporters turned out in their hundreds at the council offices to prove that their commitment to the Club went beyond the team performances.

The Government will hopefully give the green light later in the year and United can continue with their plans to move into the impressive 22,000 seater stadium within the next two years.

But in the meantime there are so many corporate opportunities available at Roots Hall and they are not exclusive to large organisations.

Our affordable packages can be designed to accommodate individuals wishing to celebrate special events or even just searching for a change of environment on matchdays.

For more information visit the Commercial Opportunities section on the website to see exactly what we have to offer. It will only take a few minutes and you never know there might be something for you.

Alternatively, if you would like to become one of our corporate partners and would like to view the possibilities in person call the Commercial department on 01702 304133 and we will arrange a suitable time and date for you to come in and have a look around.
