Southend United will learn on Thursday the result of the Planning Inquiry into their new 22,000 all-seater stadium.
The Club received planning permission for the new stadium, which includes hotel and conferencing facilities, in January 2007.
However, shortly after Southend and Rochford Councils approved the application it was called in by the Secretary of State for a Public Inquiry.
But following October's two week long Inquiry, the waiting is almost over.
"The Government Office have consistently said that the Club would have a decision on its new stadium plans on or before 6th March 2008," said Chairman Ron Martin.
"The Club has been in touch with the Government Office via its lawyers as recently as Monday when it was reaffirmed that the decision would be made on or before 6th March.
"Nobody has been given any indication as to what the outcome might be and therefore we all wait with baited breath as to what is a monumental decision affecting the Club's future."
Normal procedure is that the decision notice will be sent out to all those parties that requested a copy at the time of the Inquiry and it is hoped that this will be received by the Club's lawyers via email.
As soon as this is known - either way - the Club's Chairman, Ron Martin, will make a further statement.
