Essex County Cricket Club had a training session with a difference this week as they build up to the start of their pre-season matches later this month.

Essex coach Paul Grayson, brother of Leeds United boss Simon, brought his Eagles squad to Boots and Laces training ground yesterday to train with the Southend United first team.

The two sides were put through their paces by the United coaching staff before taking part in some small sided games.
