EXTRA TIME

Posted on: Fri 26 Jun 2009

Southend United Community Trust are running their successful life skills project 'Extra Time' on Tuesday June 30th for young people looking to get on the ladder to employment.

The Community Trust, who are one of only 30 football clubs in the country to be awarded The Football League Trust Silver Accreditation, are running the project at Southend United Football Club and Southend Adult Community College for anyone out of work aged between 16 and 18.

The project was so successful that it was highlighted by Southend Borough Council in their 'Dare to Dream' campaign and will now be kicking off again for 12 weeks and three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Extra Time uses football as a guide to help you increase your confidence and self-esteem and will give you the chance to gain qualifications in English and Maths, as well as giving you the opportunity to become a fully qualified FA Level One football coach.
