I am writing to introduce and announce the appointment of our new Technical Development Officer. Mark Mason will be joining the centre of Excellence on a full time basis from June 1st 2010 to assist myself and Mark Bonner, primarily focussing on Pre Centre of Excellence activity with our Under 7's, Under 8's and Shadow and Development Centres.

Mark was with the club previously as goal keeping and Under 9's coach before taking up a position with Ipswich Town at the beginning of the season. We are delighted to have Mark on board, who will work with many of you throughout the season. His shared philosophy, coaching manner and professionalism will be of benefit to the club and we all look forward to welcoming Mark in the near future.

Mark has been recruited to replace Marc Tracy who begins alternative employment on May 1st 2010 with Cambridge United FC, where he has been appointed Centre of Excellence Manager.

I would like to thank 'Ginge' for all of his hard work during the past 12 months at the club with not only our registered players but also for his efforts in identifying a number of high quality players for our Pre Centre of Excellence Squads, 8 of whom have been registered for the under 9's for season 2010/11.

In closing, we all wish 'Ginge' the very best of luck for the future and in his new position and look forward to working with a new Mark in 2010/11.
