Phil Brown is hoping to have Stephen McLaughlin back and available in the not too distant future.
The Blues Boss had positive news on the winger who has been missing since the New Year’s Eve clash with Charlton due to an ankle ligament injury.
But at his pre-Northampton Town press conference, Brown said McLaughlin could return in 10 days.
“Macca is on the training ground at the moment but he probably won’t be released to the balls for maybe a weeks’ time,” he said.
“I’ll be pushing the physios to get him out there because he’s a good trainer.
“Hopefully in 10 days we can say Macca’s available for selection, but I don’t know.”
Blues held a behind closed doors game on Wednesday which saw a return to action for David Mooney.
“We had a game behind closed doors which Theo Robinson didn’t play in because he got 25 minutes on the Tuesday night,” Brown added.
“David Mooney came through 65 minutes yesterday and Jason Williams also came through 65 minutes yesterday.”
